I have a bachelor’s degree in health and physical education and a minor in business administration. I am a certified personal trainer through two different organizations: Exercise Safety Association and the prestigious National Strength and Conditioning Association. In 2015 I received another certification, Health Coach from the American Council of Exercise. All three organizations require me to take tests, read periodicals, and on occasion attend sports symposiums. It is also required for me to stay current on CPR, First Aid and AED certifications. I have been to Boston, St. Louis and Florida for training.

Read More"I believe in setting goals! I ran my first marathon in 1996 with a Personal Record of 3 hours and 50 minutes. At the age of 50 I was determined to do another one and this time had a client Debbie, that also wanted to train for one. The only injury was mine, when I broke a toe five weeks out. We completed the marathon and even had a Personal Record for us. The last marathon I ran was in 2017, the OKC Memorial Marathon. I trained client Tammy and my wonderful husband Chris in the marathon as well. Thankfully, we all three completed the marathon. We all worked very hard to achieve our goals. Sometimes there is a little pain in meeting our goals but in the end, it is always worth it!
